Children admitted to hospital

Children who need to be admitted to hospital for any reason are exposed to hospital germs and the germs of other patients. These sick children face an increased risk of coming down with diarrhoea and respiratory tract infections throughout their stay in hospital.

Introducing LACTOGG^®’s probiotic strain during admission has been found to protect these children from hospital-acquired infections.

In a clinical trial, 742 children were given GG probiotic the moment they were admitted into hospital.

It was found that the "GG" children had over 3 times less chance of acquiring diarrhoea as well as throat and lung infections during their hospital stay, compared to the children who did not take GG probiotic.
