傳染性腸胃炎

腸胃炎是壹種易傳染疾病。它可以在家庭，兒童遊樂園和托兒所中傳播。

臨床實驗顯示，經常服用珠珠益生菌能減少嬰兒及兒童患腸胃炎的幾率餵食嬰兒及幼兒珠珠益生菌能減低他們腹瀉的風險達接近80%。

乳酸桿菌GG能減低腹瀉的風險。[Szajewska et al. 2001]

在另壹項研究中，為住在不衛生環境的兒童提供含有珠珠益生菌的啫哩，長達十五個月。研究人員發現，母乳餵哺能保護兒童免患急性腸胃炎。在整段研究期間，珠珠益生菌能減低沒有被母乳餵哺的學行兒童急性腹瀉的幾率。
