对增加幼童及儿童的体重有正面的效益

临床实验曾记录，服用乐多珠珠/力多珠珠^®益生菌菌株能提升早产及正常婴儿的体重。它亦能提升长期患病儿童的营养。

于婴儿餐内加入珠珠益生菌，对促使极低重量的早产婴儿接受餐食及提升极低重量婴儿的体重有帮助。

乳酸杆菌GG(L. GG)能提升极低重量婴儿的体重。[Al-Hosni et al.2011]

饮用有加入珠珠益生菌奶配方的健康幼儿，较没有被补给的幼儿，有较高高度及体重的增长。

补给乳酸杆菌GG(L. GG)长达6个月后，儿童体重、长度及头部大小的转变。 [Vendt et al. 2006]

长期患病的儿童长不好。在一项涉及一组患有长期肺部感染儿童的临床实验中，当被补给珠珠益生菌时，这些儿童成长有被推进。

补給乳酸杆菌GG(L. GG)后，长期患病儿童体重的改变。 [Bruzzeze et al. 2007]
