Many people suffer from a condition called Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). The symptoms of IBS are usually abdominal windiness, bloating, colic and either diarrhoea or constipation.

No one knows what the actual cause of IBS is but research indicates that people suffering from IBS tend to have inflammation in the intestines, abnormal “leakiness” in their intestines as well as irregular patterns of contraction of the intestines.

In children, a condition called Functional Abdominal Pain (FAP) is also common. In this condition children have repeated episodes of abdominal pain without any apparent physical reason.

Both IBS and FAP are very difficult to treat. Clinical studies have indicated that GG probiotic can reduce the symptoms of these two common conditions.
