In 2010, a clinical trial published by the American Academy of Pediatrics reported that children with IBS and FAP experienced improvement in abdominal pain both during and after taking GG probiotic.
Children with Functional Abdominal Pain improved with Lactobacillus GG (LGG) Pink sector denotes period Lactobacillus GG was consumed. [Francavilla et al. 2010]
5 months after the study was launched, 70% of parents whose children were taking GG probiotic rated significant improvement in their children.
The researchers also found that improvement in symptoms was linked to improvement of the intestinal barrier after GG probiotic was consumed.
