Algal/bacterial toxin

Microcystin-LR, a common environmental toxin produced by blue-green algae can contaminate drinking water. Within our bodies, certain intestinal bacteria can also transform food material into cancer-promoting substances. These substances increase the risk of developing colon cancer. They can also be absorbed into the body and cause cancer in other organs.

GG probiotic has been found to effectively bind to and remove microcystin-LR from water.
