Doctors gave GG probiotic to infants who were passing blood in their stools due to suspected cow milk allergy. At the end of 1 month, all the GG probiotic infants had stopped bleeding while over 60% of those given the placebo, continued to have bloody stools.
In another clinical trial babies who were proven to suffer from cow milk allergy were given GG probiotic. It was found that babies in the GG group became tolerant to cow milk faster than those who were not given the GG probiotic.
